First Communion Programme for 2010/2011
Set 2: Children 8 years or above on 1st January 2011
Set 3: Children 8 years or above on 1st April 2011
The weeks in which the small groups need to happen for each of the three sets are listed below together with the dates of the opening and plenary sessions. Please keep these dates free at which point in the year you wish to take part.
Ideally both parents should take part in these groups but we do understand that there can sometimes be practical problems here.

Application Form and Cost
An application form is in the First Communion pamphlet available from the Parish Office or from the back of the church.
No one should think they are unable to prepare for First Communion (and First Reconciliation) because they cannot afford it. But these programmes do need funding. There is a considerable outlay from parish funds for books, videos, materials etc.
Thus we would suggest a donation of £30.00 for the whole process. If you are able to give more to fund those who are less well off than yourselves that will be gratefully received. If you prefer, you may donate £15 with your application and then £15 at the first meeting.
Please detach the application form and keep the rest of the pamphlet for your reference and return the completed application form with your donation, to the Parish Office at your earliest convenience.
